From the Shawano County Highway Department:

Starting on Monday, June 1, 2026, we will be starting work on CTH M prepping and paving, from STH 29, to just West of Maple Ave.

This work will continue and be completed by Thursday, June 18.

Each day, we will close the road, and set up a detour for this stretch of road.

The road will never be hard closed, and will be accessible to emergency vehicles at all times.  With that being said, we will still have crews working within the closure and emergency vehicles will have to be aware of them.

The road will also be open to school busses, but again, they will need to be aware of our crews working and yield to them.

The closure will be set up each morning that we are working, and then removed each evening when we are done.

Attached is a map of the closure and the detour which will be signed.
